About us

At Klugit, our focus is to develop innovative energy solutions, democratizing demand-response concepts and providing benefits for families and utilities. Our first solution is a smart plug for electric water heaters, converting them into smart devices, Wi-Fi connected and smart-grid ready. With this product, we can deliver savings for families, by increasing the water heaters efficiency, making them more sustainable for the environment also, but also attractive smart grid services for utilities.


Your role in our company

We need somebody with practical end-to-end experience in both Data Science and Data Engineering, who can, in a 1st phase, research and implement with us our product intelligence, and later on assemble and manage his/her own team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and be involved in the strategic decisions regarding our product’s R&D.


What we are looking for

This is our view of an ideal candidate, but the most important is that you can show and prove to us, that you are the ideal candidate for this position, even if you don’t cover all of these requirements.

From our perspective, an ideal candidate should have:

●       2+ years of working experience

●       MSc or PhD degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

●       Engineering & automation skills in the context of delivering data science pipelines on cloud-based platforms with CI/CD

●       Experience in end-to-end design, implementation, deployment, monitoring and scaling of machine learning models

●       Experience in optimizing performance of the data pipelines and in time series data projects with big data datasets

●       Python skills

●       Experience with AWS solutions, such as S3, Sagemaker, Forecast, IoT Core, Kinesis, etc. (AWS Certification degree is a plus)

●       Experience with different types of data technologies and databases, such as time series (e.g. InfluxDB), streaming (e.g. MQTT), SQL & NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)

●       Know-how on picking up exploratory Jupyter Notebooks and implement their code in productive environments

●       Knowledge on making research reproducible and on agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban

●       Knowledge in energy topics

●       Good communication skills (English)
