Prescriptive Analytics Practice

The practice of prescriptive analytics is one of the pillars of NOS’ digital transformation supported by the Center of Excellence, which aims to: 1) train the organization to execute opportunities with impact creation, 2) add the entire Data Community and advance the practice in its different dimensions: technology, operating model, data, talent, portfolio and change management.
We have an active portfolio with a track record in the development of prescriptive analytics products, with optimization challenges in the functional areas of Marketing and Sales, TV Product Development, Customer Support or Operations and Engineering.

The profile

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for building and improving Data Science products in multidisciplinary agile squads with immediate impact on the Customer.
Active participation in the Community of +30 Data Scientists at NOS is expected in a set of structuring initiatives for the growth of the Data Science practice, materialized in learning opportunities with tooling challenges, guidelines or maturity scales in mlops, software engineering and algorithmic topics .

  • Work in sprints leading the development team of a squad whose mission is to deliver an AI/ML product with an impact on a functional area of ​​NOS;
  • Partner with Product Owner and other business stakeholders to establish a Product vision and roadmap with creation of competitive advantage supported by the application of state-of-the-art ML/AI;
  • Design end-to-end software product architecture: from data to service delivery layer;
  • Establish and evangelize the best practices of Software Engineering;
  • Detail the components of the solution to be delivered by the development team in epics, stories and tasks;
  • Improve codebase quality by identifying and eliminating anti development patterns through engineering practices;
  • Writing reusable and testable code with abstraction goals to enrich internal libraries/tools that serve as accelerators to the developer community of Data Science Product squads;
  • Ensuring that the product is installable on NOS’ technological infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines.



  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative area;
  • Coding skills and Computer Science foundations;
  • Relevant experience building and maintaining scalable software applications to support prescriptive analytics products;
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks;
  • Work experience extracting and organizing information in databases;
  • Good communication skills for cooperation with interface teams such as business, operations, IT and Engineering stakeholders;
  • Curiosity and sensitivity about information, being able to organize, digest and produce insights;
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment.


  • Experience in research and industry;
  • Experience in distributed computing (spark).
